Aadhaar Linking to Bank Account Terms & Condition

  1. All the account number(s) of the customer would be seeded with their Aadhaar number for the purposes of authentication, availing of the banking services including operation of bank account and for delivery of subsidies, benefits and services or any other facility relating to the banking operations
  2. Delivery of subsidies, benefits and services offered by Government of India is applicable for the below categories;
    • Individuals having individual/joint saving account
    • Individual having current account
    • Authorized signatories of current account having Individual/joint saving account
  3. Delivery of subsidies, benefits and services offered by Government of India is not applicable in the below case;
    • Current accounts where there are multiple authorized signatories and the authorized signatories have provided their Aadhaar to meet regulatory compliances
  4. This request will not be processed, if
    • Aadhaar number is incorrect
    • Details in bank account do not match with details available with UIDAI
    • If the mobile number or email address from which SMS / email has been sent is not registered with us
  5. Customer's account shall be used for receiving government payment across schemes that the customer is eligible and/ or any other payment using the Aadhaar based information and NPCI may map customer's account in the Aadhaar Mapper of NPCI.
  6. We will inform you about the closure of your request by SMS or e-mail respectively, provided your mobile number or e-mail ID updated with us
  7. If you have provided your mobile number or e-mail ID, we will inform you about the closure of your request by SMS or e-mail respectively. Provided the mobile number or e-mail ID here will not result in an update of your mobile number or e-mail ID as recorded with us.
  8. IndusInd Bank does not take any responsibility and will also not be liable for your claims, if the details provided by you are incorrect/ incomplete.
  9. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the customer shall be deemed to have voluntarily consented to authenticate themselves with Aadhaar based authentication system and hereby give their voluntary consent as required under the Aadhaar Act 2016 and regulations framed thereunder for seeding their Aadhaar number to all their Bank relationships and to provide their identity information (Aadhaar number, biometric information and demographic information) for Aadhaar based authentication for the purpose of availing of the banking services including operation of account and for delivery of subsidies, benefits and services or any other facility relating to banking operations
